SFX has an excerpt of an interview with head man Russell T. Davis from an upcoming issue. In it, Davis speculates on the longevity of Dr. Who. Unlike many American franchises (Star Trek excluded), which go on for some 5-7 years before getting cancelled, Davis predicts the series being on the air for probably another 20 years, which isn’t really a hard speculation given how long the series has been on the air already, in all its different incarnations.

Joshua Jackson, star of the new JJ Abrams vehicle, Fringe, talked to scifi.com about his reluctance to do another TV series. The actor states that initially he passed on the project three times, and only finally signed up for it after meeting the rest of Abrams’ writing team. Personally, I imagine this show is going to be a tad bit different from Jackson’s last regular TV gig on Dawson’s Creek, and glad to see that he wasn’t fool enough to turn it down again. It’s not like these sorts of projects come around everyday!

Stargate SG1 actor Ben Browder talked to scifi.com about his latest project, which actually sounds very cool. It’s a miniseries that brings to life characters from both Greek and Roman mythology, as seen through the eyes of a 12 year old boy in Ithaca, New York. Browder is busy developing the show, called Going Homer, for the sci-fi channel, and I for one, am excited about it. That said, if you’re like me, and still can’t get enough of the SG1 team, you can see Cameron Mitchell and company in the latest Stargate DVD release, Stargate: the Ark of Truth which comes out tomorrow.

Remember I posted that blog last week called “Ask Brent Spiner” where SFX was collecting a bunch of questions from readers to put to Star Trek’s Data? Well, I don’t think this is the one; however, SFX does have an interview with Brent Spiner where he talks about his new album. Which, frankly being that it’s not a spoken-word album like another well-known Trek actor is definitely a step up. My favourite part of the interview was him talking about LeVar Burton’s bachelor party where he, Michael Dorn, LeVar and Jonathan Frakes got to watch one of Sinatra’s last performances. All those Next Gen actors, plus Frank Sinatra?! How incredible would that have been!
