Dreamwatch has a cool little interview with Ashes to Ashes nice guy Chris Skelton AKA Marshall Lancaster. Lancaster talks about some of the changes we’ll see for Chris in Ashes, not least a little bit more confidence and a possible relationship. I just got to see the first episode of Ashes to Ashes and I can say it’s absolutely brilliant. I’m not sure that all the references pertain to 1981, versus the 80’s in general, but who can resist such cheesiness as a machine guns blazing boat ride down the Thames, which Lancaster seems to have clearly enjoyed filming. Can’t wait for this to hit US screens!

SFX reports that the BBC will be filming an upcoming 13 part series based on the life of Merlin, as a young wizard, and his “clashes” with a young Arthur. Among the cast in this series is Anthony Stewart head who will portray the father of King Arthur, Uther Pendragon, and Richard Wilson as Gauis. I thnnk it’ll be interesting if we can finally see a well-done version of the King Arthur myth, and there have been so few versions that focus Merlin himself. I can’t wait!

SFX reports that Joss Whedon is working on another musical, this time for the internet. Titled Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, the three episode internet musical extravaganza will star Serenity lead Nathan Fillion, Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day. Whedon states that the musical is about a “low-rent super villain” and his antics involving the superhero that beats him up and the cute girl that he’s too shy to talk to. Filming is going on right now, and personally I can’t wait to see it!
