Scifi.com has a hilarious and oddly glowing review of Doomsday up, celebrating the film has an homage to the end of the world exploitation films of the 1980s. The film apparently features quarantined cannibals with mohwaks, a political villain with a last name that rhymes with “Thatcher,” and (as if that weren’t enough) a horrible voice-over. This is the sort of review reviewers live to write. Uttering the phrase “a maelstrom of utter trash” is the sort of business that makes being a critic fun. I promise you guys I will get to this movie soon just for the sheer glee of its seemingly delightful suckitude.
