My brother called me late last night and told me “Iron Man” was the best Marvel movie he’d seen yet. “The Incredible Hulk” is getting some great hype, so what’s next for Marvel? The Hollywood Reporter’s got the inside track. The bad news? We probably won’t see any new Marvel movies after “The Incredible Hulk” until 2009. The good news? Marvel Studios doesn’t want to rush any of their new projects. They have an exclusive distribution deal for up to 10 pictures with Paramount, which means Paramount gets the goods on the next Marvel production and automatic distribution if either a “Captain America” or “Nick Fury” movie gets made next. Apparently, though, “Thor,” “The Avengers,” and “Ant Man” are the favorite choices for the next project for fear that uber-patriotic characters (like Cap) won’t play well overseas. Also, Favreau says he’s down for the next “Iron Man” if they decide to make it.
