For over an hour and a half, Goddard reflects on his writing career from lowly writer’s assistant to screenwriter for television and film. Goddard explains how, for instance, he managed writing his first ever episode of Buffy the Vampire while all the other staff writers were momentarily out writing on other Mutant Enemy projects. He also talks about why Joss Whedon is a great storyteller. Conversation about his work and the writing staff’s story planning routine at Lost is in the interview, too. The Gooddard interview is available for free via podcast from Creative Screenwriting Magazine and there’s a feature article in the current issue of the magazine as well.
