Fantasy artist John Jude Palencar has been named the 2008 Spectrum Grand Master. Palencar’s art has appeared on hundreds of book covers including those by H. P. Lovecraft, Ursula LeGuin, Marion Zimmer Bradley, P.D. James, Charles deLint, David Brin and Stephen King. Really cool thing about the award if you ask me? The trophy. Look at that thing! Awesome.
