While almost everyone loved New Line’s Lord of the Rings trilogy from Peter Jackson, it seems like no one loves New Line these days. First there was Jackson’s own highly publicized battle with the company, and now they’re being sued by the Tolkein estate. According to the estate New Line unbelievably hasn’t paid them any of the 7.5% of gross receipts contracted for. It’s ugly, and if true, very bad form from New Line.
