This item is one of those things I blog for all of you, as I don’t get it myself. I sort of lack the manga gene (which leads to much teasing from my partner) and try to stay away from religion. That said, I couldn’t not read the New York Times article on the manga version of the Bible by Ajinbayo Akinsiku. According to Akinsiku, Jesus is “a samurai stranger who’s come to town, in silhouette.” Well, okay. I don’t get it, but I suppose I don’t have to. Will this convert more people to manga or to Christianity? That is the question.
