Scifinow has their top ten of the best armies in science fiction. It’s an interesting but flawed list with some definitely cool contenders. I have to argue about whether the Spartans should really be on this list though, being that it’s supposed to be science fiction; whereas the visitors should definitely be on that list with their insidious “we come in peace” propaganda. And while the Klingons were cool, surely they weren’t as formidable as the Borg or even the Dominion!
