SFX is reporting that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles lost nearly half its viewers in the second episode, going from 18 million to about 10 million viewers. SFX speculates if the show will go the same way as Bionic Woman, but I have to disagree. Firstly, it’s a bit early to make such speculations, especially when there are so many different factors involved, from people may not have realized that the second episode was the next day and not next week (it happens!) to the simple fact that, as another reader commented, the pilot followed a football game, which can always bump up viewer numbers. Either way, Terminator has one thing over Bionic Woman in a big way, and that is the fact that with the WGA strike, there simply isn’t that much new television for people to tune in to. So granted the second episode proves that it is a flawed show, (I will not even touch the whole Enrique bit!), but there is still time to see whether or not this show gets cancelled.
