While no final word has yet been released on Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, the film, which was a third of the way through shooting at the time of Heath Ledger’s death earlier this week, has shut down as the producers try to figure out what to do. This may involve recasting or shooting around Ledger’s scenes, but it also may well involve the project being scrapped all together. This wouldn’t be the first time for Gilliam; his ill-fated The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is legendary.
