Digitalspy.co.uk reports that the BBC is in negotiations to do a remake (sorry, “re-imagining”) of the Sixties TV series Bewitched, which is set to star Sheridan Smith, most recently seen as Audrey in in the stage production of Little Shop of Horrors, and the eighth Doctor’s companion in an audio Dr Who adventure. Personally, I’m not too sure of the wisdom of remaking this one. I’m sure it can be made edgier etc, but like other re-imaginings before it, I start to wonder, what’s the point?
