Buddy.com reports that Battlestar Galactica producer Ron Moore is rewarding loyal fans who show their support of the writers strike by sending boxes of pencils to media moguls. Some of the prizes that you can win are phone calls from the actors and even one of three autographed towels that Jamie Bamber used in the series! All fun aside, this is pretty interesting. Ron Moore was already vocal in an IGN interview about an incident with the Resistance webisodes that coincided with season three, whereby the studios stated that neither the actors nor the writers would be paid for these as they were “promotional materials.” Finally, the studios backed down enough to say that they would be paid, however they wouldn’t be credited for it. I say break out the pencil boxes!
