I don’t have anything new or different to say on the matter, I just wanted to join in on the collective sigh of disappointment. The strike officially began today, which means that shows that are written on a daily basis will be going to repeats. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ll be missing my “Daily Show,” “Colbert Report,” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” until this whole matter is resolved. I just hope that these writers take enough time off the picket line to develop some stellar ideas for next year’s fall season. With this year’s disappointing fall ratings, they’re not in the best place to bargain. If they had threatened a strike last year, the studios would have bent over backwards to make them happy, but I guess time will tell.
