What I like about the Joker (one of my favorite Batman villains) is that he’s a clown, and he’s SUPPOSED to be scary, not because he’s really just a giant spider, but because clowns are scary in-and-of themselves, and Joker understands that. Heath Ledger looks like he’s really getting into the psychotic clown character. Hopefully in this movie he’ll articulate enough that we can understand his wise-crackin’ villain puns.
It goes without saying that my joy of Lewis Stevens in an Indiana Jones movie is pretty much unbounded, but I’ll say it anyway because…yay Shia! But what is up with the leather jacket and greasy hair? Is that some kind of West Side Story homage?
