Photos for the film adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon’s Watchmen came out yesterday afternoon and people are abuzz. The director Zack Snyder (300) talked about inserting easter eggs in the film’s shots just like the comic’s panels have and, if you open up larger versions of the photos from the Warner Brothers website, you should spot them. Is it me or do the photos look like they’re misplaced stills from The Little Shop of Horrors (1986)? I understand the film setting has been kept in 1985, so that’s probably why the new photos share that mid-eighties gritty street soundstage look. It may just be me, but do check them out.
