There Really is Life on MarsFor those of you that get BBC America and fell in love with the show Life on Mars last year, and have been anxiously awaiting its return, series two comes to BBC America on 11th December. I am so excited to see this show back on again! Did Sam really travel back to 1973, or is he in a coma? This is where we get all the answers. And kudos to the shows creators for giving audiences the answer and ending the show after two seasons, instead of dragging it out for several years a la Lost. Don’t know what happened to the US version of this cop show about a present day police officer, Sam Tyler, who wakes up in 1973. Several casting announcements were made a few months ago, but nothing seems to have come of it. That’s probably a good thing. Somehow I don’t see networks here having the fortitude to end a show on its high when there’s still more money to be made from it. That isn’t to say that we won’t be seeing more of DCI Hunt in the BBC’s 80’s spin off Ashes to Ashes, which hopefully BBC America will pick up right away!
