Rumors about a live action Star Wars spin-off series were rampant following the release of “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” but they had died down until recently. In Entertainment Weekly’s Hollywood Insider blog, they say several sources claim George Lucas is coming to Los Angeles next week to meet with freelancers, read: hand-picked special guest writers, to write episodes for at least 13 episodes of the planned series. You can read all kinds of conjecture as to when the series will take place, which characters will be used, and what kinds of plots will be revealed all over the internet. When it comes to Star Wars, though, fact is as good as rumor. I don’t need to guess about what will happen in the series, but I’m sure I’ll watch it when it comes out. I might even like it. I just hope Lucas learned his lesson from the last time he brought live action Star Wars to the small screen.
