This video’s been getting some attention, as well it deserves attention because it’s pretty funny. Whether intended or not, however, these guys have prompted a group (meaning a couple guys I know) to take them seriously. Pogs are back, my friends. You can go on web auction sites and pick up a few thousand for eight bucks. That’s a small investment for at least an hour’s worth of entertainment. I was into pogs way before the fad made its way to the east coast because a friend of mine from California had visited the previous summer and dropped a stack of wicked west coast slammers on me. Unfortunately I had weak wrists at the time, and learned the harsh lesson that the hardest slammer in the world won’t make up for a lack of skill. I lost $5 that day, but gained invaluable insight.
